Living the #fxbglifestyle

If you know me then you probably already know that I'm head over heels in love with this little City I call home. So I've created this space to share that love. From the everyday people walking the streets to the small business owners who do so much, I'm excited to share stories from all of them along the way.

Feel free to pop in when you need a reminder that this big ol' world is full of amazing people with extraordinary stories and you might just bump into them in your own backyard.

I'm Kerry - wife to an extremely supportive husband who just so happened to have been voted "Best Husband" and was mentioned in the "best of 2017" Virigina Living Magazine. (Sorry ladies, he's taken!). I'm a mom to two awesome girls Kennedy (6) and Hadley (4) who keep me on my toes and give the best hugs (I may be bias). I lead our local Tuesday's Together    (part of The Rising Tide Society , an organization for small business creatives) and I'm a wedding - lifestyle - and small business photographer at Kerry Renee Photography . I'm a member of the Fredericksburg Area Service League  and try to give back to my community as much as I can, because it really has given me so much. Needless to say I'm a bit busy these days. So if you see me walking around downtown with gym clothes on don't automatically assume I just came from the gym. It's more likely that I haven't done laundry and ran out of real clothes!

A litte story of how I fell in love with Fredericksburg, VA:

On March 27th of 2007 I moved into a little 1000sqft cape code home nestled in the city of Fredericksburg. That night  Dan proposed in our little kitchen, in our little house, in our new little city. We ate pizza using Dan's guitar case as a table (because that and our mattress were the only 2 pieces of furniture we had moved in) and we drank champagne out of red solo cups. It was PERFECT.

That year as newly engaged townies we explored downtown and fell in love with our community. Our weeknights usually ended with a stroll downtown, dinner at Sammy T's (or if we were feeling fancy La Petite Auberge) and ended with us popping into Kybecca to grab a bottle of wine and some hummus, back when Kybecca was a small wine store.

A lot has changed over the years. Downtown Fredericksburg has grown, our family has grown and our connection to this city has grown. It's been the perfect place to live for so many stages of my life. From care-free and kidless to family fun, to business owner. Whatever stage of life you are in I encourage you to lean on this amazing community for support and meet the amazing people who are part of it!
